The Kinbaku Collection

Four large panels in oil and precious-metal leaf - Chrysalis, Katharsis, Ékstasis, Nemesis - where the Japanese art of rope binding becomes a metaphor of constraint and liberation: the bound body as a chrysalis, suspended in its own metamorphosis. Katharsis received the award for the most innovative work at the Van Gogh Prize (Monreale, 2018).
